You are notified that a petition has been filed in this Court by Judith A. Stubbs, aka Judith Stubbs, aka Judy Stubbs, requesting that: the foreign will of Harry Eugene Stubbs, aka Harry E Stubbs, aka H. Eugene Stubbs, aka H. E. Stubbs Jr., deceased, dated January 21, 1982, be admitted to the probate and record in this Court; no administration of the estate is necessary; the will be construed, and all the following real estate owned by the decedent, situated in Rice County, Kansas, Reno County, Kansas and Russell County Kansas, to wit: 

An undivided 0.125 decimal interest in and to the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 13, Township 18 South, Range 8, West of the 6th P.M. Rice County, Kansas, together with a net royalty interest under the oil and gas lease(s) thereon of 0.00156250; 

An undivided 0.0343752 decimal interest in and to the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 12, Township 18 South, Range 8, West of the 6th P.M., Rice County, Kansas, together with a net royalty interest under the oil and gas lease(s) thereon of 0.00429690;

An undivided 0.0156248 decimal interest in and to the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter, the North ½  of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter, the South ½ of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter, and the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 12, Township 23 South, Range 4, West of the 6th P.M. Reno County, Kansas, together with a net royalty interest under the oil and gas lease(s) thereon of 0.00195310; 

An undivided 0.015625 decimal interest in and to the North ½ of the North ½ of the Southwest Quarter, and the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 12, Township 23 South, Range 4, West of the 6th P.M., Reno County Kansas, together with a net royalty interest under the oil and gas lease(s) thereon of 0.00195320;

An undivided 0.0062504 decimal interest in and to the Northeast Quarter of Section 33, Township 14 South, Range 13 West of the 6th P.M., Russell County, Kansas, together with a net royalty interest under the oil and gas lease(s) thereon of .00078130; and

An undivided 0.0031248 decimal interest in and to the West ½ of Section 15, Township 15 South, Range 12 West of the 6th P.M., Russell County, Kansas, together with a net royalty interest under the oil and gas lease(s) thereon of 0.00039060.

be assigned in accordance with the terms of the will. 

You are required to file your written defenses to the petition on or before May 28, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the District Court, in the City of Lyons, Rice County, Kansas, at which time and place the cause will be heard.  Should you fail to file your written defenses, judgment and decree will be entered in due course upon the petition.

You are hereby notified that on April 26, 2024, a Petition for Issuance of Letters of Administration was filed in this Court by Logan Griffitt, an heir of John L. Griffitt, deceased, and on May 2, 2024 , Logan Griffitt was appointed administrator of the estate of John L. Griffitt, deceased . All creditors of the above-named decedent are notified to exhibit their demands against the estate within the later of four months from the date of first publication of this notice, as provided by law, or if the identity of the creditor is known or reasonably ascertainable, 30 days after actual notice is given , as provided by law, and if their demands are not thus exhibited, they shall be forever barred.
